Inside Sales Representative - San Antonio, Texas

Position Summary:

Responsibilities include supporting sales activities through the implementation of superior customer service skills, generation of sales orders and quotations, working with warehouse driver to schedule and facilitate deliveries, supporting customer needs through product awareness and pricing levels, setting up LTL freight with preferred vendors, and fulfilling additional warehouse needs as required. Primary objective of this job design is to facilitate all sales transactions in a courteous and professional manner and provide inner office support for the sales team.


Responsibilities:

  • Open sales desk and close warehouse daily to ensure facility is operating and ready to receive business between 7:30AM and 5PM Monday-Friday.
  • Receive all walk-in customers courteously and professionally to address needs as appropriate.
  • Accurately produce sales orders to include correct products, quantities, pricing, and additional requirements consistent with workflow policy and procedure.
  • Answers all incoming phone calls to warehouse location to receive orders, answer questions, schedule deliveries, and route calls appropriately.
  • Utilizes company CRM (Sales Force) to assist external sales team through creation and distribution of quotations, routine opportunity follow up emails, and distribution of project specific product submittal data.
  • Work with Operations Team to assist in maintaining proper inventory levels at the stocking warehouse.
  • Coordinates with operations personnel to ensure timely delivery of materials daily.
  • Communicates effectively with Operations Manager and warehouse team members to ensure load accuracy on sales orders.
  • Collaborate with Technical Sales Representative and Business Development Manager to provide needed sales information to Director of Sales on a monthly/ongoing basis.
  • Communication of local competitive activities and pricing as provided to the Technical Sales Representative and Business Development Manager on an ongoing basis.
  • Consistently seeks to cross leverage existing inventory across company to avoid unnecessary purchasing- works directly with Operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Partner with Technical Sales Representative and Business Development Manager to assist in executing all point of sales activities as requested.
  • Facilitate requests originating from Administrative team members as required.
  • Assists Technical Sales Representative to mine data and vet projects utilizing the various online plan services as required and capable.

Education/Qualifications (Preferred):

  • Three to five years sales experience in the construction industry or related field.
  • Highschool Graduation (GED) required. 2-4 years higher education; Bachelor’s or Trade School preferred.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite and basic computer skills required.
  • Strong communication skills. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
