Base Hydraulic Mulches consist of cellulose (paper) fibers, wood fibers, or a combination of both to produce a commodity mulch that can be mixed with water, fertilizer, seed, and other additives for erosion control in less critical applications such as a 4:1 slope.
Base hydraulic mulches are commonly used in revegetation applications. They are typically the most economical approach to establishing vegetation with an element of erosion control when the project does not involve high velocity flows or critical slopes/channels.
